Graphics:
Looks just like America.....
Absolutely amazing. The most perfect looking recreation of America possible with DK2. All the states are clearly outlined on the minimap. You know exactly where you are fighting. Makes you actually want to go on a killing spree just seeing this damned country!
Mechanics:
Silky smooth.....
Everything works very smooth. All areas of the map can be accessed. Copy the map files into the Data\Editor\Maps\ directory. The thumbnail image belongs in the Data\Editor\Maps\Thumbnails directory. Just like you see the directories arranged in the zip file.
Gameplay:
An underground Civil War.....
Each state line you see is invincible rock. There is one, sometimes two, breaks in it so that you may cross into the next state. This makes for highly defensive games. Therefore in the beginning it's in your interest to expand rapidly then dig in. Explore thoroughly, as there are back entrances to many strong points. I've arranged the Dungeon Hearts to be at the most evil cities in America. Player 1 is New York. Player 2 is Los Angeles. Player 3 is Miami. Player 4 is Houston. We all know Washington DC is the "Evil Capital" of the world. But this area was too small to hold a dungeon heart. Such smaller areas of great evil are represented by gems. Lesser evil spots, capitals of the underworld, are shown as gold seams.
Overall:
Conquering the USA is fun.....
I believe, or rather know, that this map totally out-classes any other for this game. Not only in size, but in "fun factor". If you really like what you see, or have ideas for my next map, please email me. We'll see what I can come up with next.
