Graphics: A full blown world.....
I am attempting nothing less then to make a map that looks as close to Middle Earth, from the "Lord of the Rings" books, as the TA:Kingdoms game engine will allow. I wanted people to immediatly recognize every local just by one quick look. As such I have precisely placed each town, road, and mountain just as it appears in the books. I also am trying to make the forests look more natural by placing tree clumps in various areas. Also, I'm trying to fill it with lots of fancy little touches here and there such as waves. Truely beautiful!

Mechanics: Iron Plague not required.....
Pretty hard to screw up a Kingdoms map. I'll use this area to go over some limitations many people may have. First, if you have less then 128MB of RAM, then don't bother. It should never load. Also, I heavily recommend at least a Pentium III. Lots to process on this map. Besides, maps this big were made for huge armies, and that sucks CPU power like mad. Also, to fight online with huge armies a 56k modem may be too limiting. If you have a 56k modem then try it and see how it does. For those 8 players games a cable modem, DSL, or LAN is a must. Copy the map file into the "Maps" directory.

Gameplay: Gameplay through the roof.....
When reading those books about Middle Earth did you ever think you could have done better then the main characters? Well, here's your chance to prove it. Control vast armies for, or against, Mordor and conquer the world. Or for those of you more into adventure games, I have created a two player script for the map that allows you to play as either the Ring Party or the Black Riders. The Ring Party shall start at Frodo's house. You must then guide your party down to Mordor. You must have Frodo, the Aramon Assasin, stand on the bumpy ground in the northwest of Mordor, which represents Mount Doom where the ring must be destroyed. This precise point has a Mana Refinery on top of it as a marker/protector. As the player controlling the Black Riders, you start at Minus Morgul, the western mini pass of Mordor. You win by killing Frodo, the Aramon Assasin. Be warned, the Ring Bearer, like in the books, can turn invisible. The Ring party consists of; Frodo the Aramon Assasin, the other three hobbits as Swordsmen, Aragorn as an Aramon Knight, Legolas as an Aramon Mage Archer, Gimli as an Aramon Biserker, Boromir as an Verunan Crusader, and Merlin as an Aramon Acolyte. The forces of Mordor consist of 6 Black Riders as Taros Black Knights, and 1 Nazgul as a Taros Sky Knight.

Overall: Beyond Incredible.....
Behold the second "Incredible" map for Kingdoms. For too long not a single map really, truely, stood out from the rest. Now we have nothing less then a full blown virtual world to conquer. Now we have nothing short of the world of Middle Earth to fight our wars in. With the exception of my Ultima map, I would truely state that no TA:Kingdoms map has yet to come anywhere close to this level of detail and sophistication. Need I say more? My map speaks for itself!

Story: Once upon a time.....
Read J.R.R. Tolkiens "The Hobbit", and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy for this.
