Current Rating: Good.....
As reviewed by Emperor Dracula.

Graphics: Rendered Perfection.....
The shorelines, and even the contour lines on land, were rendered from actual heightmaps of the region. The layout is as such perfectly acurate. I decided to use a dark green texture for the land, which has lighter shades of green randomly brushed in to provide the illusion of vegitation. The northern reqions and mountains have pine trees, the southern regions have leafy trees, Louisiana has swampy looking vegitation, Florida has tropical looking vegitation, and the great plains are empty as in real life. I decided not to do cities as I believe this map just wasn't big enough. Leave cities to Epic Class maps I say. Extra: Due to numerous emails and a few forums postings, I've reduced the score for this map from "Incredible" to merely "Good". Seems a lot of people think this map's mountains look too cluttered, and the textures are too dark. Upon futher review I have come to agree, and will consider this map a learning experiance. Please download my other "Bryce Maps" before this one, as they will provide for more fun.

Mechanics: Core Contingency required.....
Everything works very smooth. All areas of the map can be accessed. The AI is fully functional. Copy the map file into the main game directory.

Gameplay: Plenty of metal.....
First off, since this is the economic superpower of the entire world, I decided to plaster metal mines all over the place. As such, the AI grows quickly, and attacks you in vicious waves. About your only salvation is that the rivers are only passable by commanders, hovercraft, and amphibious tanks. This acts to break up the actions into distinct regions. The logistics of crossing rivers with your armies as such becomes a concern with some stratigies, so thank goodness you can take detours around all the rivers if you're willing to travel a bit. Each area of the map has its own collection of start points. Player 1 starts out in Ohio, player 2 starts in Mexico, player 3 starts in Canada, and player 4 starts around Colorado. The other 6 players are scattered about evenly.

Overall: By popular request.....
The only map I get more requests for then a sequel to "Real Earth V1", is a natural looking map of America. Well everybody, consider that request answered. Anyways, I've found Bryce Maps to be lots of fun creating. Since my first Bryce Map "Bronze Age V1", I've come a long way. Gone are the "blocky" rivers and shorelines. And I've really started to master texturing. Oh, look forward to a rendered map of Earth in the future. I guarentee it'll be far more advanced then even this map.

Story: Once upon a time.....
Capture America for our side. Good luck.....
