Graphics:
Sun dried mud everywhere.....
Ever notice how mud dries up into little sections when the hot summer sun shines on it? Well, that's what this map looks like. Just to add a little color, I put in a little bit of very shallow water in the cracks. Futhermore, I rendered this entire map in Bryce 4 all at once. No tiles were used here at all.
Mechanics:
Core Contingency not required.....
Everything works very smooth. All areas of the map can be accessed. The AI is fully functional. Copy the map file into the main game directory.
Gameplay:
Can't build on the cracks.....
Base planning will take a little more effort as you can't build on the cracks. Also, keep in mind that units can walk across, or even in the cracks. As such a solid wall of Dragon's Teeth is not fesible. Each of the 10 start zones has 3 nearby metal mines, with a few more scattered in that area of the map. Also, each commander starts right on top of one of 10 geothermal vents. Seems the mud is starting to steam in the heat. Aside from these main points, this map will pretty much play like you'd expect a 10*10 screen map. Be sure to write me if i've missed anything.
Overall:
Bryce rocks.....
Now that I've learned how to use Bryce 4, the sky is the limit on the worlds I can create. At this point in time I have many designs on the drawing board for more "Bryce Maps". As for this one, I think it's just really cool to fight it out in a muddy mess. And remember, HAVE FUN!
