Graphics: An attempt at realism.....
I've tried a number of graphical experiments in this map. For instance I placed green world tiles precisely under various rain forests to make them visible from the minimap. Also, I've bunched the trees togather to form obvious forests, not to mention barriers to troop movement. The forest fires one can start will blow your mind. Also, I found I could create "burnable" grass by taking moss and coating an area thickly with it. So when an explosion hits it, a black burnt out spot is left. I've covered all the plains with it. Around halfway through a war on this map the grasslands will have turned into a blackened wasteland. As for the basics, this map has a complex desert landscape in the north. A huge rain forest in the center. And the savana in the south. Note that South Africa and the region around Ghana are urban zones. I'm not sure anymore where I got various 3rd party tilesets, but none of them were done by me. Version 2 of the map added far more "burnable" grass.

Mechanics: Core Contingency required.....
Everything works very smooth. All areas of the map can be accessed. The AI is fully functional. Copy the map file into the main game directory. Note that version 2 fixed some minor height problems above some mesa's.

Gameplay: Lots of varied terrain.....
The rainforest dominates the center of the map. It is so very thick that you must choose to go around or blast yourself a very long path right through. The desert in the north has plenty of mesa/canyon mazes to set traps in. And the island of Madagascar while protected from land attacks, only has limited space and resources. The first and second players start in urban areas, all the rest out in the wilds. For team games odd numbered players start in the south, and even numbered players start in the north. For single player games, if you don't like starting in an urban city with only one small metal mine, just do random start location until you like your starting location. Version 2 added more metal mines, mostly in the far north.

Overall: A long time in coming.....
Seems like I've been working on this map for ages. Not quite sure how much work I've put into it since I've been so busy with real life of late. I believe that the overall time I did spend designing and building this map has made it into one of my best though. Let me know what you think!

Story: Once upon a time.....
This continent is yours for the taking!
